CV

Statement

Motivated by concern for the impact technology has on society and our planet, my work focuses on both ethical and environmental concerns brought by technological advancements. This includes a variety of topics like automation, censorship, privacy, and e-waste disposal. Throughout my process technology maintains its presence, whether it be the utilization of computer software or re-purposing obsolete electronics.
With my Singularity series of paintings, I envision an abstracted reality through the eyes of artificial intelligence(AI). I approach the subject of singularity with a touch of humor to pull away from conspiracy territory and ground the topic closer to reality. By doing this, I am using humor to disarm fear and allow rational discussions about our future.
